Abstract: |
An programme of archaeological observation was being maintained during groundwork's at Tonbridge Castle (a Scheduled Ancient Monument ). A void was observed that contained the decomposing root of a tree. Due to the limited extent and depth of the hole dug, nothing of archaeological significance was observed. It seemed likely that the remaining parts of this root, and probably others, would eventually create further disturbances to the path. [Au(abr)] |
