Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out on a flood alleviation scheme. A pit and a ditch containing Mid to Late-Iron Age pottery were found at a roundabout on Stane Street, possibly from an enclosure. Late Bronze Age and Roman pottery were also recovered from the same area. No other archaeology was encountered due to gravel quarrying in the area. [Au(abr)] |
