Abstract: |
Following an initial archaeological desk top study and field investigation of available arable features a further phase of archaeological survey was carried out in woodland areas. The investigation involved a systematic walkover survey of all woodland areas required for the proposed development. While the survey was partially limited by the presence of dense vegetation in some areas, it was possible to identify several earthworks. None of the features were shown to be of significant (medieval or earlier) antiquity and some were known to relate to nineteenth-century land-use. [Au] |
