Abstract: |
The evaluation together with a limited desk-based study was undertaken to provide an assessment of the likely archaeological implications of proposals to construct a single dwelling. The desk-based assessment revealed that the standing property adjacent to the site was extant in the 18th century but that no archaeological features or finds were known from the immediate vicinity. The field evaluation identified an east-west ditch not shown on early cartographic sources and which may have been of medieval origin. No evidence of any other further significant archaeological activity was however observed. [Au(abr)] |
