Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out. During the medieval period the site appeared to have been part of a deer park. During the late 18th century urbanisation occurred in the area and the site was fully developed by 1808. Industrial buildings occupied the site by 1853, later being the Arundel Cutlery Factory and then replaced by the Pearl Works. [Au(adp)] |
