Abstract: |
The evaluation indicated significant disturbance to the site, primarily by quarrying. However, the north-eastern zone was shown to contain significant archaeology, indicative of medieval land management and perhaps domestic activity. Pottery in this area indicated a short occupation period in the early to mid 13th century. This was an unexpected discovery, and would be severely impacted by the proposed development. [Au(abr)] |
