Abstract: |
The results of the evaluation suggested that the New Inn Yard lay in an area of Sandwich that was consolidated fairly late in the development of the town. The presence of peat and the high water table indicated reclamation of marshy ground. Both structural and demolition evidence was identified during the evaluation, with surfaces and walls being encountered.[Au(abr)] |
