Abstract: |
Archaeological observation and recording of 48 postholes excavated for the erection of a fence on the site of the villa was undertaken. Three eroded sherds of Romano-British Black Burnished ware recovered from three widely separated postholes. Three other Romano-British sherds and one sherd of a possible Saxon ware were also recovered. Two areas of stones and unmortared stone wall or similar structure were located. [Au(abr)] |
