Abstract: |
A building recording of the 19th century commercial buildings was conducted. The archaeological excavation recorded features dating from the medieval period including a timber waterfront revetment and wood-lined pit. To the rear of the building a possible timber jetty was located during the excavations for an extension. Above these were the remains of two post-medieval buildings. The foundations for an undated building were revealed in the southern half of the basement and the walls and brick floors of a basement associated with a 17th century building. [Au(abr)] |
