Abstract: |
An evaluation of a lawned area within the grounds of Dogmersfield Park was undertaken. No artefacts or deposits directly apportionable to a period before the 18th century were recorded and no signs of the medieval palace of the Bishops of Bath and Wells (known to have stood in the vicinity) were seen. Well preserved remains of the various gardens on the site during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries were recorded. [Au(abr)] |
