Abstract: |
An undated early feature was excavated cutting the brickearth in trench 2. A layer of disturbed brickearth excavated may have been a Middle-Saxon occupation deposit. A buried soil horizon and part of a brick wall were also seen, dating from the post-medieval period. Two trenches had been heavily disturbed by modern services. The soil horizon continued to develop into the 19th century. [Au(adp)] |
