Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the redevelopment of the site. The findings of the watching brief indicated that the site had undergone sufficient earlier disturbance to have removed any potential archaeological deposits. Archaeological features may usually be identified at the interface between the topsoil and subsoil layers, however, there were few instances where this zone was intact, and in most cases modern disturbance was seen to extend to depths of up to 1m.
