Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was held over topsoil stripping on land at Beddington Sewage Farm. Ditches and gullies, one pit and one post hole were observed. One ditch contained a sherd of post-medieval pottery. The other features were undated, however, many of these features contained burnt flint, an indication of prehistoric activity. It was considered possible that at least some of the ditches and gullies belonged to prehistoric field boundary systems, possibly of Bronze Age date. [Au(abr)] |
