Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during road improvements as part of a new housing developement. The site was situated on a gentle south facing slope with a stream at the base of the valley, a favourable position for early settlement. Nothing of archaeological significance was revealed although the potential for significant settlement remains within other parts of the development area was noted and further archaeological investigations recommended during later development.
