Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of footings for two fence/gate posts. No archaeological deposits or remains were present within the trench. The deposits revealed were related to the present pavement construction and modern disturbances. The lowest layer revealed had the characteristics of a modern demolition layer, but may have been the in-fill of a service or feature whose limits were outside of the confines of the investigated area.
