Abstract: |
The assessment identified that the general archaeological potential of the area was low. Cartographic and documentary evidence relating to Gosterwood Manor revealed that the house dated back to the early 16th century. Maps showed a large complex of buildings, which were used, as Goster Farm. It was fairly certain that there had been a house on this site since the 13th century, and perhaps the late Saxon period.
