Abstract: |
<summary>The route of a proposed new water-main ran very close to an Iron Age hillslope enclosure at North Hill; the site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Although the route did not impinge on upstanding archaeological remains, it did lie within the Scheduled area and therefore any ground disturbance would require Scheduled Monument Consent. It was recommended that any ground intervention should be archaeologically supervised, and kept to a minimum, and that full recording of deposits should be carried out. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
