Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed mineral extraction site, which was crossed by an undated earthwork consisting primarily of two parallel banks and ditches. A small number of prehistoric struck flints were recovered; other finds included post-medieval and modern pottery and a post-medieval shoe patten. A modern quarry pit and a ditch were noted. It was concluded that the presence of any archaeological remains other than the earthwork was unlikely. [AIP] |
