Abstract: |
No significant archaeological features or deposits have been exposed and no evidence for medieval or earlier occupation or activity had been found. The pipeline trench excavated in 1994 was located in Trenches 3 and 4. However, the burnt clay and charcoal deposits recorded during monitoring of the service trench and thought to indicate the potential for settlement evidence was not encountered in this project. It was possible that the material was in fact manganese, which was found to be widespread throughout subsoil deposits. [Au(adp)] |
