Abstract: |
The results of the evaluation revealed the presence of some archaeological features such as post holes and gullys in a limited area in the northwest corner of the site. These were found in the back gardens of properties which once fronted on to Front Street. Although sealed by modern make-up they were likely to be impacted upon under the proposed development. No other significant archaeological deposits were found in the other trenches, which contained foundations of modern buildings or deep make-up. [Au] |
