Abstract: |
During the watching brief most of the work took place on the raised platform of soil up-cast during the construction of the canal. The probable remains of a gravelled path on the top of the bank were observed, there was no means of dating the path, though it almost certainly represented an earlier attempt to consolidate and mark the present footpath.[Au(abr)] |
