Abstract: |
A single storey resource centre had received planning consent. The moated manor house of Mockings Manor was situated immediately to the east of the development site. The site appeared to be located in the area of buildings associated with the manor farm. It was also possible that the east end of the new access to the site would impinge on the area of the moat itself. The report concluded that the exact survival on the site of features of archaeological significance was not yet known, and that this additional information should be provided by means of a limited programme of archaeological evaluation on the site.
