Abstract: |
A watching brief monitored the excavation of a French drain around the north side of the church, and two drain runs running north to two soakaways. The French drain revealed the foundations of the north wall of the church; the drain runs revealed graveyard soil and a small quantity of human charnel; the soakaways revealed graveyard soil to a depth exceeding 1.6m, one grave cut and a substantial quantity of human charnel. All of the human bone was retained for reburial at the completion of works. [Au(abr)] |
