Abstract: |
The assessmented identfied the considerable archaeological potential of the study area. Prehistoric remains were deemed to have the potential to survive within waterlogged deposits near the River Stour. Roman, Saxon, early medieval and medieval remains were also seen to have the potential to survive in the form of occupation and industrial remains. The fact that the river had acted as a sewer since Roman to medieval times the presence of considerable organic remains was identified. [AIP] |
