Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was undertaken as part of an evaluation of three proposed sites for borrow pits for the construction of the Foston - Hatton - Hilton Bypass. The area adjacent to Broomhill Farm, Foston, appeared to be dominated by two areas of ridge and furrow seperated by a headland. Survey of the area adjacent to Foston Detention Centre identified a number of anomalies, mostly of probable natural origin. Survey adjacent to Common House Farm, Hatton, identified a ring ditch feature cut by a linear feature. [AIP] |
