Abstract: |
The evaluation, consisting of a gradiometer survey of the site and the excavation of seven trial trenches, was undertaken across the proposed extension to the quarry. The geophysical survey indicated that the area was generally magnetically quiet. No response was detected which seemed likely to indicate the presence of pottery kilns or similar features. The trenches were uniformly sterile of any archaeological evidence. [Au(adp)] |
