Abstract: |
Trial trenching was carried out as the second phase to this evaluation in response to a proposal to use the area for spoil disposal. This work revealed archaeological features indicative of a small medieval settlement dating to the 13th and 14th centuries. This probably represents a small farm or cottage site abandoned during the Black Death. An early medieval parish boundary was also located. [Au(abr)] |
