Abstract: |
Trenches were excavated on land proposed for the creation of three fishing lakes located within 200 metres of a known Roman villa site. Excavation of two trenches alongside the upper and middle pool sites revealed no archaeological features to which a Roman date could be attributed. One trench encountered a modern animal-burial, whilst the other revealed part of an undated linear feature which may have been of geological rather than archaeological origin. [Au(adp)] |
