Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken as the first phase of investigation ahead of the construction of a new vicarage. Documentary sources were consulted and a walkover survey undertaken. The plot lay close to the church and was possibly within a medieval manorial complex. There was considered to be a small possibility of fish ponds on the site. A tithe barn was known to have stood close to the application site and it was considered that evidence of this might be found during evaluation trenching. [Au(adp)] |
