The proposed route for the Herne Bay Water Treatment Works passed through areas of known archaeological potential. An archaeological evaluation, consisting of eleven trial trenches, discovered numerous features and finds dating to the Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age, indicating possible occupation.[AIP] |
