Abstract: |
An archaeological investigation was carried out to locate and examine the foundations of a former ammunition magazine in the Gun Garden. The foundations were found to be largely intact, and confirmed pictorial and cartographic evidence concerning the size and plan of the building. An earlier pit containing medieval pottery was observed and partially examined beneath the foundations, and belonged to an earlier phase of occupation. [Au(abr)] |
