Abstract: |
A magnetometer and resistivity survey was carried out on the site. The lack of response from the moat (or moats) could mean that conditions are unfavourable for their detection, or that they lie outside the area covered by the survey (with the possible exception of a resistivity anomaly). There are magnetic disturbances close to the high resistivity readings at the front of the house, but the lack of any broad linear pattern of disturbances elsewhere suggests either that the survey has failed to intersect the moat, or that the infilling of the moat is unresponsive.[Au(adp)] |
