Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that, according to Speed's map of 1610, the proposed development area lay within the main focus of the town, comprising built-up land which included some buildings of possible medieval origin, although the nature of these would have been such that there would have been little disturbance to and underlying archaeological layers.
