Abstract: |
Trial-trenching was carried out prior to redevelopment of the site. Remains of 19th century buildings were encountered. Late deposits may have survived at the evaluation site, although deeply buried. The depth of the original ground profile, on the northern part of the site, was established, and remains of pre-19th century buildings may have survived in the southern part of the site. If the development did not involve deep groundworks, then the remains would have remained in situ. [Au(abr)] |
