In total, 32 sites of archaeological interest were identified within the study area during the assessment, including parts of former field systems, evidence for quarrying, a number of building, remains associated with the linen industry, a former hospital and a prehistoric barrow. Of these, 12 were considered likely to be affected by the proposed development; many formed part of the agricultural landscape. In addition, there were 16 Listed Buildings within the study area.
