Abstract: |
A desk-based study and trial-trench excavation was carried out ahead of proposed residential development. Examination of historic maps showed that the land had not changed since 1577. Roman kiln furniture and associated pottery were found in the vicinity at the end of the 19th century. However, no pre-18th century features were found during the trial excavation. [Au(abr)] |
