Abstract: |
The 35ft diameter overshot wheel was used for pumping slurry from the clay pit. A tall masonry plinth adjacent to the wheel was probably used to support an angle bob. Survey revealed that a second drive from the other end of the wheels axle was used for powering flatrods; the purpose of this what not estblished.[Au(abr)] |
