Abstract: |
A magnetometer survey was undertaken along the proposed route of the A338 Viverdon Down. Possible archaeological anomalies were identified in each of three survey areas. the most convincing of these were detected in the centre of the southern section and included several ditches and pit responses suggestive of possible occupation activty. Elsewhere ditch lengths and isolated pit anomalies were also recorded, although these were positioned in areas producing numerous strong geological/pedological responses. [AIP] |
