Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site with a potential for medieval remains, highlighted by an earlier desk-based assessment. A fairly large sandstone-built well of probable 19th century date was revealed, together with more recent pitting activity, overlying a deposit of agricultural soil. A single sherd of medieval pottery was found within a modern context, but no other evidence for medieval or earlier activity was found. [Au(abr)] |
