Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out during groundworks for extensions and alterations at a school. The area in which the school was situated was already known to have buried Roman and Late Iron Age remains. Although the potential for archaeological remains within the site was fairly high, no evidence was encountered. There was no evidence that the WWII shelter had disturbed any archaeological remains, suggesting that the previously found remains in the close vicinity were limited to the areas of previous excavation.
