Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was commissioned in relation to an application for a proposed re-development of land at 5-9 Brunswick Road, Gloucester. No archaeological features or deposits were identified within the study area but several features and groups of deposits were identified in the vicinity which may have impinged upon the site. The study suggested that there was a moderate to high probability of substantial Romano-British and medieval deposits within the development area, and that there was a low to moderate probability of 17th century military ditches within and adjacent to the study area.
