Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out within a car-park at the proposed site of a hotel. Prehistoric remains of all periods, including mesolithic flints and a neolithic cursus, had been recorded in the surroundng area. Medieval villages had lain in the vicinity. During the evaluation, a probable prehistoric ditch was revealed. Late 19th to early 20th century pottery and a clay pipe stem were recovered. [AIP] |
