Abstract:
Although there is some earthwork evidence to suggest that archaeological remains associated with the main monastic complex extend into the western edge of the field in the vicinity of the abbey church and the infirmery, these earthworks do not extend to the access route. It is recommended that, in order to clarify the potential impact of the proposed access upon archaeological remains, earthwork and geophysical surveys are undertaken.
