Abstract: |
An archaeological watching breif was undertaken during a programme of residential works in response to a condition upon planning permission for two dwellings. Investigation of the site recorded recent disturbance cutting through deposits of disturbed ploughsoil and subsoil which overlay a post hole and possible pit. A natural geology of sandy clayey silts and clays was recorded. The earliest deposits encountered during the watching brief were datable to the post-medieval period. It was unlikely that the site had been occupied prior to this date. [Au(adp)] |
