Abstract: |
Desk based assessment and field appraisal were undertaken on the Objectors' Alternative - Knutshaw Bridge section of the scheme. This survey followed an earlier report carried out in 1991. The present revised survey extended over a wider route corridor. The survey identified two post-medieval farm sites. A survey of any affected buildings was recommended. In addition the embankment of the Bolton to Leigh railway survived as an earthwork. Should the embankment be affected then survey and recording work ought to be undertaken. [Au(abr)] |
