Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken to investigate the potential\r\nfor buried archaeology within an area of land at Bungalow Farm, in advance of a proposed housing development. Five linear trenches were machine excavated to the depth of the undisturbed natural subsoil. Within one trench a single pit containing medieval pottery was discovered. No features and no artefacts were recovered any of the other trenches. Following the evaluation the excavation of the footings for two house plots were archaeologically monitored revealing two post-medieval field boundary ditches. [Au(adp)] |
