Abstract: |
<summary>Geophysical and fieldwalking surveys, plotting of crop marks and targeted trenching were undertaken to evaluate 70 hectares of land to the south of Ringstead Grange. A post-medieval windmill, Late Iron Age features, and an area of Early Iron Age settlement covering an area of around three hectares and comprising features which included linear ditches, sub-rectangular enclosures, ring-ditches and an associated field system, were identified. Trenching of a scatter of worked flints and a minor concentration of Saxon pottery located by fieldwalking revealed no associated features. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
