Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposal to construct ten new residential dwellings on the site. Four trenches were excavated, representing 4.88% of the entire site. Seventeen archaeological features were encountered which included pits, a shallow linear ditch, post holes and associated metalled floor and post holes with a possible gully. Early medieval and medieval finds were also recorded. Environmental samples were also taken. [Au(abr)]
