Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken on MOD freehold land as part of an ongoing review. The results established that archaeological sites and findspots ranging in date from the Palaeolithic period to the second half of the 20th century had been identified within the Site itself and also within the wider Study Area. These indicated the potential for the presence of previously unidentified archaeological remains and deposits with the site. An assessment had been made of the likelihood of remains of different periods surviving on the site, as well as highlighting known archaeological sites and findspots. [Au(abr)] |
