Abstract: |
This area under assessment had a varied archaeology typical of the Cornish coastline. The more visible prehistoric sites were represented by barrows, standing stones and farmed landscape. The settlements were usually documented in the medieval period, but several had pre-Norman origins. Post-medieval features formed the majority of the recorded sites. 314 sites had been allocated National Trust SMR numbers. [Au(abr)] |
